It’s been a while since I visited TechCrunch so I had to bring you all up to speed and there’s some really good buzz going around startup companies and neat tools.
There’s a new service called TuneFeed that will allow you to upload music to a locker then put a flash widget on a website so visitors can play the music. More on this story here on teh Crunch
There’s also this RSS coupon deal. Company called Zixxo will allow advertisers to create coupons on their site or upload their own and they are not charging anything for all of 2006. Users could browse or search for teh coupons or even receive email or RSS alerts for the location and/or coupon categories of their choice. More on this here at TechCrunch.
Now there’s something called Millionaires24.com email for the rich. I am not sure what kind of crap this is but I don’t think I will even visit. You tell me if you happen to see what this is.
Otavo is launching in May, yet another social bookmarking sites (how many of those are there already? and don’t you feel like this is getting crowded?). Main feature is user generated tagging to allow good search results. More on the story on this TechCrunch page.
This is what I really like on teh TechCrunch site, when Michael compares services and provides some good charted data. This was a two part report you can catch the first part HERE and the second part HERE. He compares Rhapsody, Yahoo music, Virgin digital, iTunes, Napster, MSN music, Walmart etc. You will see the top services based on pure stats, Cheapest price and most intuitive interface/slickest software. Good read!
If you want to store web content offline, Webaroo indexes the “highest quality” websites for content and creates topic based web packs for download. the content is stored offline on your PC and updated periodically. this is very useful if for some reason you can’t stay online or if you’re taking the train and want to browse a site offline during that trip. There more info on this from the TechCrunch site, check it out HERE.
A Great RSS to website tool called Feedostyle and it looks like they have competition from Grazr and FeedDigest. The service is easy to install and does not require an account. Blog and website publishers will be able to include content directly onto their site. More on the story HERE.
That’s my update. I hope you’re enjoying all these new tools. For me: so many tools and so little time
