April is Autism awareness month and shame on me for not posting about this earlier.
Toys R Us and their Children’s fund are sponsoring this cause and have partnered with Autism Speaks to help raise funds and awareness about this heartbreaking disorder.
You can donate online or in-store. There are nearly 1.5 million cases of autism in the US with one in 150 children diagnosed each year (think about those who are not diagnosed or don’t even know).
Autism currently affects more children than pediatric cancer, diabetes and AIDS combined!
Your donation to Autism Speaks will help facilitate research that will uncover the causes of autism, develop effective biomedical treatments and hasten the discovery of a cure. You can also join a local Autism Speaks Walk Now for Autism event near you by visiting www.WalkNowforAutism.org
