So where have I been since that last post on the 17th of May?
Starting a new job! That’s right I am now officially a city worker and loving it! It’s been a while since I had a commute but I don’t mind.
That’s pretty much all i got right now. Busy busy and happy!
more updates later.
Saw this on the Daily WTF. A guy took the picture in Brussels. Pretty funny
This is brilliant
Do you feel this way sometimes?
How far are we from another gas price hike? heck no need to wonder, it seems like everyday is a price hike around here in the San Francisco Bay Area. I filled up my car today with Supreme unleaded and for the first time I went over the $100 mark, it was pretty much 101 and change.
If you remember last year i was bitching about the pay at the pump credit card limit where it was shutting off at $75, well the good news is that credit card companies figured out that they are loosing money and opened it up. the pump will not stop anymore at $75.
After I pumped gas at this Chevron station here…..

I saw this Shell station prices 2 miles away:

First, why this large price difference in the same city? Can someone please explain and I wonder if this Shell station is getting any business at all?

April is Autism awareness month and shame on me for not posting about this earlier.
Toys R Us and their Children’s fund are sponsoring this cause and have partnered with Autism Speaks to help raise funds and awareness about this heartbreaking disorder.
You can donate online or in-store. There are nearly 1.5 million cases of autism in the US with one in 150 children diagnosed each year (think about those who are not diagnosed or don’t even know).
Autism currently affects more children than pediatric cancer, diabetes and AIDS combined!
Your donation to Autism Speaks will help facilitate research that will uncover the causes of autism, develop effective biomedical treatments and hasten the discovery of a cure. You can also join a local Autism Speaks Walk Now for Autism event near you by visiting www.WalkNowforAutism.org
…And if you have not seen it yet, check out what Five For Fighting did on their website to help support this cause. this video alone pretty much collected more views than all combined videos on their submission system. get some tissue ready when watching: http://www.whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com/videos/view/id/408214

You have probably seen it online or on Oprah. This picture of Hillary Clinton morphed with Barrack Obama. This was the cover of The New Republic. I thought it was interesting especially the way they kept eyes, hair on Hillary and mouth / nose (ears too?) on Obama. Picture credit The New Republic Journal.

Corrupting little girls online
So I’ve been freaked out recently when my Google chat window pops up and I get a message “Hi Daddy” from home. My little girl knows how to IM! yea it’s a harsh reality that I’ve been avoiding but knew it will happen. Now how to protect her from the filth out there? I don’t think it’s 100% possible, good parents have to do whatever possible to guide their kids in all activities including using computers and online browsing.
Of course I’m reading my Rojo weekly update and I see the mention of “your little girl can grow into a great big bimbo” with a link to a Mashable blog. Do you think the creator of this game will be in trouble? LOL I don’t think so, even though all parents will be against this, usually the more fuss people make about it the more publicity he gets, which is somehow what i am doing here sadly but heck i don’t have much traffic so bleh. Bottom line: make sure your kids are educated and you know where and how they spend their time online.
So it’s been a while since I posted, almost a month now. I’ve been a bit busy with work and the family. I’ll be posting more often hopefully soon.
Here’s something I saw today on Dorks.com. Someone had too much time on their hands to do this remix
2 Smart gang members decided to taunt the authorities and posted a video on YouTube dancing with arms in their hands.
The result: They got arrested shortly after the authorities located them. Very funny if you ask me!
Check out the Federal Crimes article on the ABC news site.
